Cigars need a BOOST?

Tasting Notes

The balance between strength and body is still subtle and complex. There is no bitterness or aggression and the blend and flavour progresses in intensity during the 2nd and 3rd thirds

"The flavour remains my trademark sweet and accessible blend with notes of dark chocolate and espresso coffee throughout" - Mitchell Orchant

This well crafted cigar holds its ash very well and delivers a cool satisfying fuller strength smoking experience.

Smooth tasting cigar with plenty of creamy smoke per puff. This smoke took me just over 70 minutes to finish all the way to the nub with just a touch of spice all the way through. I will keep a couple in my humidor and try again as there was no issues just one touch up.

Score: 6/10 Smoke time: 100 minutes Appearance and Construction: The cigar has a visually appealing, dark wrapper with a slight oily sheen, indicative of a well-aged leaf. The construction seems firm but presents some challenges, as evidenced by the difficulty in maintaining an even burn throughout the smoking experience. First Third: From the initial light, the cigar exhibits deep, rich, full-bodied flavors. The profile is robust, with dominant notes that likely include dark chocolate, espresso, and perhaps a hint of leather. The smoke is thick and creamy, delivering a satisfying mouthfeel. The ash is initially solid, holding well, which speaks to good construction at the outset. Second Third: As the cigar transitions into the second third, it becomes tricky to keep the burn even. This section may require some touch-ups to maintain an even burn line. The flavors remain intense and full-bodied, but the need to relight suggests a slight inconsistency in the filler tobaccos or construction. The ash starts to lose its stability, indicating a change in the burn characteristics. Despite these challenges, the flavors continue to develop, possibly introducing a subtle spiciness or earthiness that complements the initial richness. Final Third: The final third of the cigar becomes a bit problematic. The smoke turns quite bitter, likely due to the buildup of tars and oils as the cigar progresses. This bitterness can overpower the initial complexity of flavors. However, towards the very end, the cigar seems to redeem itself, smoking well with deep, full flavors once again. This resurgence suggests a well-blended finish, despite the earlier difficulties. Overall Impression: This cigar offers a robust, full-bodied experience with deep, rich flavors that are highly enjoyable, especially in the first and last thirds. The middle section poses some challenges with an uneven burn and the need for relighting, which can detract from the overall experience. The bitterness in the final third is a drawback, but the cigar manages to end on a positive note. For those who appreciate complex, full-bodied cigars, this one is pretty good but requires careful attention to maintain an even smoke throughout..

Been in my make shift humi about 2 months, lovely stick, apart from retouching and and relighiting a few times the taste is nice. I get bakers spice on the retro hale, it's definitely not a 50 minute smoke. Still smoking and have reached the third stage in the cigar (over hr and half).
