Imperial 1994 has been bottled by independent bottlers Gordon & MacPhail as part of their distillery label series.
Distilled in 1994, this was bottled in 2013, 13 years after the distillery closed for the final time in its stop-start history.
This is part of the Gordon & MacPhail Distillery Labels series, which replicates the livery the Elgin-based bottlers used in the mid-20th century when they produced the only official bottlings (under license) for many distilleries like this.
Nose: This whisky has delicate influences of stewed fruits and vanilla.
Palate: The palate is creamy with milk chocolate, tropical fruit flavours and a touch of pepper.
Finish: The pepper continues through onto the finish of this Imperial.
