Last pack of three I bought contained two that the draw was so tight, they were unsmokeable. A nice smoke when you get a good one but it’s an expensive gamble. Will look for alternatives in future.

Loved it, very light smoke. Creamy and nutty flavours in the first and second third and transitioned to a slight spicy, peppery flavour in the final third. The only reason it isnt a 5 star is bevause I had to relight a few times, had a bit of tunnelling and a bit of an uneven burn. This could be user error as I am new to this.

Loved the taste, very light and easy smoke but the construction was very disappointing, wrapper unravelled from shoulder to foot and ash looked shapeless near the end. It was my first HDM and I will try this short robusto again just to see if I would consider a box of it. Next in line to try is epicure especial. Wanted to knock only 1 star out for the wrapper issue but that wouldnt justify it.

A very pleasant-tasting cigar. It does not have a bitter aftertaste or a peppery aftertaste which is an advantage for me. Delicate, creamy in taste, it burns pleasantly until the very end. Good draft and lots of smoke. I recommend

Two unfortunate experiences with these. The first one I tried, the wrapper was crisp, dry and just crumbled and unravelled from the shoulder to the band.. It was also virtually impossible to light, with just a block of black charcoal instead of ash at the business end. Continued attempts to light it resulted in a trumpet-shaped expansion on one side of the cigar foot, and the wreckage was impossible to smoke.. The second one I tried seemed to be burning, but with considerable difficulty and a tight draw. No ash was visible, and the wrapper and binder stayed mostly intact. When the cigar went out, I tried scraping away at the black carbon at the foot and found it went down the centre of the cigar for about an inch and a half, so the centre of the filler had obviously burnt down inside the cigar shell. No ash anywhere, just hard black charcoal. Although I am new to cigar smoking, I have now smoked several different brands in different shapes and sizes, and have not had any problems with lighting or smoking any of them, so I dont think my lighting or smoking technique was at fault. I hasten to add that the service I have received from CGars on every order so far has been absolutely faultless, so no criticism is implied here of anything but the two Hoyo cigars I attempted in vain to smoke.

I’m only just starting out so I’ve only had the chance to try a few cigars but have to say this is my favourite yet! Lovely burn and woody/nutty flavour - will definitely buy again!
