Pretty new to new world cigars and this one stands up very well, prob exceeds my experience of cuban cigars. Lovely looking cigar, dark oily wrapper, nice even burn. Crazy amounts of smoke, mild, pleasant flavour. Lasted for around 2 hours..hazel nut, liquoirice flavours. Great.

I had read the other reviews for the Gurkha Ghost Shadow and was intrigued enough to add one to my last order. This cigar was well packed with a good draw and even burn throughout, although I did find I needed to relight a couple of times. There is an unmistakable dark, earthy taste to the Gurkha which makes it distinctive, and certainly you get clouds of smoke from this beast. I didn’t get the sweeter notes that some describe. As ever though, you can’t completely judge a cigar on a single smoke. It does have nice peppery notes that make the earthier flavours more complex and interesting. Not sure I’d order again, but worth trying if you like the darker, earthy flavours.

Had to baby this one for the first 25mins as it was over packed and didn’t want to burn, it got very mushy, hardly got any flavour or smoke out of it, but when I did there were some lovely chocolate notes, I had to touch up the burn as this went very wonky and started to canoe, the last two and a half inches got very hot and bitter, this was not a humidification problem on my part as all my other cigars smoke beautifully, the good points are it has an oily wrapper and if it had burned, would of gave off some really nice flavour, it’s a shame, think I just got a dud one here, might try this one again, maybe..!

One of the most enjoyable cigars I have experienced. Lots... no seriously LOTS of smoke! Mine lit effortlessly, and despite a reasonable breeze it burnt remarkably evenly all the way to the end. Very well wrapped, it was a firm draw in the first third, with an earthy flavour. The middle third however was a delight, with sweeter tones coming through and maybe even a hint of almond. The final third did become slightly more bitter but only in comparison and was still above average all the way to the end. A great smoke that I have reordered already

Mine was cracked at the foot and the head under the label. Seemed a bit dried out and had a very fast burn time considering it’s size. About 45 mins. The taste wasn’t so bad. Peppery in the last third but before that a very weak flavour. I won’t be purchasing again.

Took a lot longer to light, but that could just be me. Beautiful flavors throughout. Ideal size for my early afternoon smoke. Like a perfect date. Good looks, full of personality and easy on the wallet
