GURKHA

Steeped in legend and history, the Gurkha Cigar created more than a century ago, was reborn in 1989. The company has continuously rolled out meticulously handcrafted cigars, epitomizing all that is luxury.

Today, Gurkha makes a cigar for all price points and all palates, but when it began, Gurkha cigars were unlike other cigars in the market. They also came in highly ornate packaging and with a steep price tag. Hansotia felt that there was a market for more luxurious and exclusive cigars for those with tastes for only the finer and more elusive products. In focusing on this segment, Hansotia created the ultra premium cigar category.

GHOST SHADOW

The Gurkha Ghost is a sleek and alluring cigar that should make an appearance in anyone’s humidor. The Ghost Blend showcases a dark Brazilian, Arapiraca maduro wrapper, complemented by an aged Criollo 1998 binder and carefully selected Dominican and Nicaraguan fillers.

Tasting Notes

Once lit, Gurkha Ghost expels clouds of smoke, as a medium-bodied profile produces hints of cocoa, sweetness, earth, and a dash of pepper.

The construction of this cigar is faultless and it does produce a lot of smoke, but for me it didnt deliver enough in the taste area. I much prefer the casa turrent 1901. Just because I dont think this cigar doesnt deliver on taste doesnt mean you wont, the only way to know is to try it and see for yourself, we are all different and part of the great thing about cigar smoking is trying new cigars and finding what you like for yourself not from reading cigar reviews.

Very interesting, flavours are earthy with mint and liquorice, smokes very well and draw and burn were also good, ash was a bit flaky however.

So far, my absolute favourite cigar, an expensive little vice, but a few times a week...bliss! Having given up smoking cigarettes about 5 years ago on April 1 (Fools Day!) if I keep myself to around two or three of these a week; Im still saving a lot of money (and the odd lung or two!) not only better for my health and wealth but Im so glad I checked the ciggs in and moved on. But the Gurkha cigars are a delight, not only the ghost, there are others but this one hits the spot every time :)

HORRIBELieee, TERRIBLE, DISCUSTING THINGS !! Dont buy one ! Please, CGars might run out and I wont be able to get more !! No, seriously this has become my favourite smoke, not cheap by any means but worth every penny in my humble view. Ive been working my way through CGars inventory, different wrappers and regions, lengths and gauges, gave up on the Cubans as without keeping them in the humidor for a month theyre always too tight, dry boxing, zips in the fridge; then I happened on these little guys, wonderful !! The Brick House are a very close 2nd and give a bit more variety in flavours but these are the real deal, perfect to light, give one 10 minutes or so, then walk Dogface then have another half hour when you get back. I used to go for the loner sticks but Ive changed my taste , this Robusto 5 by 52 is perfect for me. I tried this and a few others out of frustration and havent looked back. As said the Brick House and a few others are really nice but this is my personal favourite, maybe not for others. Give one a blast, I did this on a whim and love them, my very first EVER five stars. Sorry to be so long winded in the review of this cigar, I think, is worth the space, cheers...and dont buy any !! I need them all for me :)

First let me thank Gurkha, and (Dominican people) so much for this great Cigar. Medium body, the draw, burn, and construction are amazing. Varied bouquet of Flavors, aromas, and after tastes.. Such as ... woody, leather, coffee, chocolate, sweet, pepper, salted caramel, and rich smoke. I will make sure keeps a large number of these woooow fancy sticks in my cigar humidors. Thank you so much C.GARS , Michelle Adler for all excellent choices and services. ✨
