LA GLORIA CUBANA

La Gloria Cubana is a little-known jewel from Cuba. Founded in 1885, its name alone clearly defines its origin. For over a century it has attracted a small but loyal following amongst the most knowledgeable cigar smokers.

MEDAILLE D'OR NO. 4

The Medaille d’Or No. 4 is an exquisitely thin vitola measuring 6” (152mm) x 32 ring gauge and is presented in a varnished 8-9-8 box of 25 cigars and is sure to excite many aficionados who favour more slender sizes or those trying a Habano for the first time.

Medium bodied with a blend made from tobaccos grown in the Vuelta Abajo zone and using the Tripa Larga Totalmente a Mano method (long filler totally by hand).

Was looking forward to this as I love the Turquinos ( one of my favourites ) but this was so disappointing. A extremely hard draw and gave up half way through, not very pleasant. Price point is pretty good though, if yiu can actually finish it.

Unlike the previous review I was fortunate enough to have a perfect draw from this slim beauty. Great burn and plentiful delicious medium strength smoke. I like these sizes occasionally and this was fantastic, preferable to the cohiba panatella in my opinion and half the price. Enjoyed oddly with a few pints of Spanish lager in the sun which surprisingly worked. I usually do not appreciate lager and cigars together!!!! Will definitely buy more and now want to try the larger ring guages of this brand

Unfortunately I had to put this down at the second third due to the draw being too tight. The flavour was good, typical Cuban tones and could have a been a wonderful smoke. I always have a high hopes for these sized smokes but I have yet to find one that smokes well all the way through.
