Description

The GlenDronach Cask Bottling Batch 18 is a celebration of the distillery’s time-honoured mastery.

Each cask individually explores the sophistication, powerful intricacy and complex layers of Spanish sherry cask maturation found in every expression of The GlenDronach.

This Glendronach is the youngest release in the distillery's Batch 18 releases.

Distilled on 14th December 2009, it was matured for 10 years and bottled from a Pedrio Ximenez puncheon.

2009 Cask #2091 is non-chill filtered and draws all its natural colour from the cask in which it rests.

692 bottles are available in Europe.

 

Tasting Notes

Nose: Crystallised orange melds with dark fruitcake, hazelnut and raisin, topped with marzipan and ginger.

Palate: Fruitcake filled with toasted raisin, orange peel and almond.

Finish: The palate theme develops into lingering gingerbread and ground nutmeg.
