Description

Released to celebrate The King's Man movie - a prequel in the Kingsman movies - this 29-year-old GlenDronach is the oldest bottling we'e seen released from the distillery in some years.

The GlenDronach Kingsman Edition 1989 Vintage was created by master blender Rachel Barrie in partnership with Kingsman film franchise director Matthew Vaughn. The release of the whisky follows the launch of Kingsman Edition 1991 Vintage in 2017, which marked the release of the second film in the series, Kingsman: The Golden Circle.

The new expression is bottled at 50.1% ABV and made from a selection of six casks from 1989. The 29-year-old single malt was matured initially in oloroso Sherry casks followed by a final maturation in Pedro Ximénez casks from Spain.

Bearing the emblem of the Kingsman films, 3,052 bottles of this 1989 vintage were produced.

Limited to 1 per customer - please note, stock is limited from secondary market releases.

Tasting Notes

Master Blender Rachel Barrie worked closely with film director Matthew Vaughn on this release, selecting casks with the most exceptional character. Barry describes the finish with "notes of blackberry, tobacco leaf and date oil linger to conclude the rich tasting experience."
