Glenallachie 15 Year Old Oloroso Puncheon Single Cask - 58% 70cl

Glenallachie 15 Year Old Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky.

This was distilled in 24 July 2007, matured in an oloroso puncheon cask, bottled at 58% ABV in October 2021 and specially selected for the UK.

Part of a limited release of 720 bottles, this whisky was bottled free from chill filtration and artificial colourings at a strength of 58% abv.

GlenAllachie is currently experiencing its renaissance thanks to the input of Billy Walker, an extremely famous figure in the whisky industry and former MD of BenRiach. 

First built during the 1960s to service demand for blends, GlenAllachie has rarely been seen as a single malt, until now. In 2018, six single cask bottlings were released, followed by a core range including single malts as old as 30 years. 

Nose: Aromas of dried banana chips, caramelized muscovado sugar, and honeycomb. Hints of root ginger, toffee, and butterscotch add further complexity to the bouquet.

Palate: Roasted walnuts, tart dark chocolate, and winter spices. Indulge in the richness of hazelnuts, the velvety smoothness of mocha, and the vibrant sweetness of red berries. The whisky then unfolds with the delicate sweetness of heather honey and the lusciousness of orchard fruits.

Finish: Finally, a sprinkle of cinnamon spice adds a warm and comforting finish.
