Description

This single cask offering from the multi-award-winning Glenallachie distillery was distilled in 2010.

It was carefully matured for 14 years, including a finishing period in a single Chinquapin Barrel (cask #4952) 

Not something you hear every day - Chinquapin - Native to the US, this quirky cask wood brings out bold spice, deep sweetness, and a distinct herbal edge.

Hand-selected by Billy Walker and bottled at natural cask strength, without chill-filtration or artificial colouring. 

Tasting Notes

Nose: Liquorice, manuka honey and butterscotch, with crystalised ginger, cinnamon butter and mocha.

Palate: Aniseed, vanilla extract and heather honey.

Finish: Followed by mocha, ginger spice and treacle, with rose petal and toffee.
