We’re delighted to present the seventh batch of single casks specially selected for the UK, each demonstrating the unique interaction of the wood, spirit, and subsequent flavour extension.
With a passion for exploring the influence of interesting wood types on our spirit, Billy Walker specially selected this Moscatel barrique.
Produced from a particularly aromatic variety of grape, Moscatel is a deliciously sweet dessert wine hailing from Spain.
Maturation in one of these wine barriques (2008 #418) has created a gloriously bronzed golden malt, abundant with fresh fruits and runny honey, perfectly complemented by citrus aromas and hints of ginger.
Bottled at 56.7%, unchilfiltered and natural colour, this expression is available exclusively in the UK.
Nose: Honeysuckle, butterscotch and ginger, with notes of orange peel, orchard fruits and grapefruit.
Palate: Lashings of white chocolate, soft cinnamon spice and lime zest.
Finish: Followed by sultanas, dark roast coffee and orchard fruits.
