Glen Craig 1970 Connoisseurs Choice Miniature - 40% 5cl

In the mid-1960s Gordon & MacPhail took the unprecedented step of launching a range of single malts under the brand name 'Connoisseurs Choice'.

Until this time, many of the whiskies the range featured would not have been available as single malt.

Today, 'Connoisseurs Choice' retains this exclusive nature with a range of rare and sought after single malts from distilleries throughout Scotland.

A stunning 5cl miniature bottling of the 1970 vintage rare bottling of Glencraig - a name used for spirits distilled with the Lomond stills at Glenburgie before removing in 1981 thus effectively closing Glencraig.

This 1970 Glencraig was aged for more than a quarter of a century, before being bottled at 40% ABV.

Please note as this is a vintage whisky, conditions of bottle/label and liquid level can vary.

Nose: Fresh on the nose with a defines floral note with hints of exotic ripe fruits and sherry influences.

Palate: Creamy. Initial spice kicks things off with a sweet hint, much like the nose with hints of nuts, a vanilla touch and a subtle wave of milk chocolate.

Finish: Warm with spice as vanilla continues through onto the relatively long finish.
