Tasting Notes

Campari Bitter:
Aroma: Aged blood orange peel, orange sherbot, ruby red grapefruit, lemon thyme and herbal woodyness.
Taste: Herbaceous quinine bitterness balanced nicely with syrupy sweetness flavoured with more blood orange zest, mint, cherry and honey.
Aftertaste: Long and lingering quinine and zesty orange which slowly fades.

Cinzano Sweet Ruby Red Vermouth:
Nose: Bitter cherry, sweet red-berry fruit, plus dates and damsons.
Palate: Bittersweet ? nice balance. Dates, cherries, rich texture. Subtle herbiness, with plenty of sweet spice.
Finish: The bittersweet cherries linger. Not too sweet, which is ideal, but still makes a statement with its rich fruit.

Gordon's London Dry Gin:
Nose: Heavy with pine-laden juniper, with a peppery/resinous undertone. Coriander lurks on the edges with a slight hint or citrus and a menthol character.
Palate: Similar to the nose, piny juniper, with hints of coriander, lemon zest.
Finish: Medium long with an unmistakable juniper burst and earthy spices.

James Buchanan?s Black & White Blended Scotch Whisky:
Nose: Medium Sweet, Oak, Biscuits, Rather Sharp Grain Alcohol, Vinegar, Touch of Peat.
Taste: Rough and Tough. Grain, alcohol and some sugared dried fruits. There is also a hint of oak and pepper.
Finish: Short. Sharp grain alcohol, a little oak and vanilla.

Drambuie:
Nose: Intriguing herbal/medicinal nose, with notes of pepper, grass, dried hay, fried flowers, orange peel, and licorice.
Palate: Sweet but lively, the orange explodes and the whisky boldy appears, wrapped in honey and her.
Finish: Herbal and sweet. Overall, quite complex and rewarding.
