Have to say, what a sublime smoke! These are perfect if you have an hour and a half to kill late morning, early afternoon. The smoke is mild, medium with a creamy nuttiness which intensifies the longer you smoke it but never becomes overpowering. The reason I say it suits to smoke this cigar earlier in the day is because after a large meal at tea time a Monte 2 or psp2 is probably more suitable

just tried one of these and although lasted a good 60-70 minutes just got bored with it, I didn"t think it was a bad cigar but have tried better like my 1 or 2 a week JL petit corona, perhaps I had it too early in the day, would buy again when I fancy a longer lasting smoke but not in any great hurry.

A great cigar for the price. I have found my last four orders have consisted of these as well, so that say`s something right there. The reviews left from others are on the money in my book and so a staple cigar I have continued to enjoy. Just awaiting my latest order which has of course some Diplomaticos No.2s embedded.

Tried these last week, and I was not let down by the cigar. There are lot of good points in its favour. I think they are well constructed, easy to cut, and light. The draw and burn was even throughout, a smooth and fairly mild smoke, compaired to a monti #2 i feel it is a very closely run thing, i will have to try another one of each of them, it my be to close to call. Then there is the price. what is there not to like about them. Great cigar. Great value.

Like an earlier reviewer I was curious to see how these torpedo's compared to the Montecristo 2. Its fair to say I was surprised at the results as historically Diplomaticos were produced as low cost "copies" of the Montecristo line (the irony being that they are produced in significantly smaller numbers and are now very sought after in the "aged" market). A great cigar full of rich and complex flavours, well manufactured with an easy draw and consistent burn. And if you dont have time for the 2 the Dip 4 comes highly recommended.

Once again i have challenged you and you have come out victorious! Under description it says " I prefer these to montecristo no2" I said to myself "no shot!!!" So i bought one and when it arrived i smoked a monte 2 to refresh my memory of the iconic smoke, Then i went to a meeting and about my day for about 6 hours or so thinking to myself the whole time that there was no possible way the diplomaticos no2 could beat the monte 2. Then,, I lit the damn thing! Are you kidding me, Its like a monte number 2 but lighter and more complex, It had so much vanilla bean and cream flavor i wanted to put a straw in it!! I gotta say that this cigar made me feel like christmas morning! Definatlly my new favorite torpedo!!!!!!
