Description

Daftmill is a farm distillery, owned and operated by the Cuthbert family.

A farm first and foremost, the distillery only operated in the farm's quiet periods; mid-summ and winter, sometimes producing as few as 100 casks per year.

When not disilling, Francis Cuthbert looks after the estate, growing the malting barley used to make his highly sought-after Lowland whisky.

27 first-fill ex-Bourbon barrels from Clermont Springs distillery in Kentucky form the basis of this latest Summer Batch Release Daftmill.
 
The whisky is distilled from publican barley grown in a 43ac field by John and Sandy, harvested in August 2009, and malted in 2010.
 
But through the stills on the farm in Summer 2011, it was bottled September 2023.
