I picked up one of these in Brussels recently. It seemed well made with a nice, dark, oily looking wrapper.
As many others have stated, it had a tight draw, although it produced plenty of smoke and the draw didn’t affect the smoking of it much, tight as it was. The pre-light draw had an earthy quality to it with hints of sweetness. The burn wasn’t the best. It became uneven quite soon and didn’t correct itself so I had to touch up the lagging side with my lighter. The first few puffs were truly amazing. Naturally there was that unmistakable Cuban flavour along with earth and creamy chocolate notes. This soon gave way to a much more noticeable earthiness and some spice, still with that creamy chocolate in the background. The spiciness picked up in the second half and intensified towards the end. I smoked it until there was just less than an inch left and only abandoned it because it was tunnelling and another touch up would have killed it anyway. Despite the less than stellar burn and draw, it was one of the tastiest cigars I’ve ever smoked. The flavours were bold, even with the tight draw and I was surprised at how varied it was, considering its size. It lasted nearly 40 minutes (which surprised me due to its length) and I’d say it’d probably go 45 for me if I smoked it down as far as I’d have liked to. I’ve got to give this 5/5 despite its flaws. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a very tasty 40-45 minute smoke. I’m definitely getting some more. Partly to see if the one I smoked was a one off or if they’re all this good, and partly because I think they’d be a perfect choice for those occasions when you want a smoke but don’t have the time for the extra inch or two I usually go for.
