CRN57 12 Year Old Step One Release - 43% 70cl

The first release in a limited edition CRN57° Step range. Step One comprises blended malt Scotch whisky aged for 12 years and bottled at 43% alcohol by volume (abv).

On the first sip you will find smooth flavours of raspberry compote complement Seville orange zest and marzipan. Subtle coffee bean undertones develop alongside demerara sugar and toasted oak.

As ever, inspiration has been taken from local surroundings when creating this whisky. 

The number of bottles released (1,309) matches the height, in metres, of Ben Macdui, the highest mountain in the Cairngorms.

Nose: Aromas of baked red apples, cinnamon, and cloves, complemented by sweet orange marmalade and roasted walnuts.

Palate: A vibrant blend of raspberry compote, baked apple, and Seville orange zest layered with marzipan, dark chocolate orange, and a touch of black pepper.

Finish: A long, fruity, and sweet finish with subtle warming oak spice.
