This 9 year old single malt from GlenAllachie has been lovingly aged in hogsheads that have previously held Amontillado sherry.
Amontillado sherry begins life as a Fino sherry and undergoes an additional maturation period without a 'flor' layer.
This stage of oxidative ageing develops a richer colour and more robust characteristics. The outcome is a single malt that brims with dark cherries, toasted hazelnuts and caramel sauce.
Please note - bottle comes without original packaging - bottle only, price reflective.

Palate: Honeycomb, maraschino cherries and dried apricots, followed by poached pears, blood orange, mixed nuts and cinnamon.
Finish: Medium-long, dominated by dry nuttiness, warm baking spices, and a delicate lingering sweetness.
