Released as part of Chivas' distillery reserve collection which is a range of whiskies which were specifically designed to be something a little bit different to the core expressions.

Distilled at the Caperdonich distillery, this expression from them was distilled in 2002 and has spent nearly two decades in a 2nd fill butt.

There were 804 bottles produced at cask strength free from chill filtration.

Nose: A sophisticated combination of gentle bonfire smoke, sweet toffee, pear, and creamy vanilla. Hints of red apple, orange oil, toasted oak, and a subtle savory hint of peat smoke are often noted.

Palate: The high proof delivers an intense, smoky, and oily mouthfeel. It balances this smoke with sweet notes of candied fruits, dried raisins, pear drops, honey, and warm ginger spices.

Finish: Long and rich with lingering wood smoke, caramel, and a touch of drying citrus or ginger spice
