Description

Copeland 25.1 Single Malt Irish Whiskey is a bold and distinctive expression crafted from a double-distilled mash bill of 90% malted barley and 10% chocolate malt.

Batch 1 blends three first-fill bourbon casks aged 4 years and 9 months, finished for 5 months in Virgin American Oak, with a quarter cask fully matured in Oloroso sherry for 5 years and 5 months.

Bottled at 70cl, this 5-year-old whiskey offers a rich, layered profile unlike anything else on the shelf.

Tasting Notes

 

Nose: Sweet and oily with aromas of jammy orange marmalade, vanilla buttercream, toasted coconut, maraschino cherries, and subtle cigar ash or oak shavings.

Palate: Bold, rich, and mouth-coating. It delivers flavors of crème brûlée, dark chocolate, Turkish delight, dates, and hints of cinnamon and clove. 

Finish: Warm, slightly dry, and medium-to-long, ending on notes of dark chocolate, woody spices, a touch of salt, and nutmeg.
