It's alright, it is much better than a standard cheap lighter for pipes, and it is fine for cigarettes...I haven't tried to refill it yet but it looks simple and if it doesn't work, it's only cheap and (aside from hurting the environment of course) I don't mind throwing it away.

However, I would ideally use an even longer distance between the flame and the hand for a pipe - however this is specifically a pipe lighter.

Cheap and cheerful.
