The following is for a very interesting and rare bottle of Scotch whisky from around the time of the Second World War.
Interestingly the whisky for Choice Old was produced in Scotland but blended and bottled in Narberth, Wales.
This is a practise which is illegal today if you wish to refer to your product as Scotch Whisky. For over 100 years James Williams Ltd blended and bottled whisky, rum, brandy, and port in the south Welsh town.
The Choice Old name continued into the 1970s but was eventually discontinued. After a £500,000 restoration, today the warehouses of James Williams are a living museum in honour of him, his company, and the local community.
Please note as this is a vintage whisky, conditions of bottle/label and liquid level can vary.
