Thought I'd give this size of cigar a go and bought one of these, a Chinchalero Novillo, a La Rica Gordito and a La Rica Gordito Maduro.
When I opened the bag they came in, there was a strong smell of the camel house at Chester Zoo. Being relatively new to cigars and none of the cigars I'd previously bought smelling like this, I was a tad perturbed to say the least. Took a quick look at some forums and the conscensus strangely appeared to be that the more they smelt like manure the better the cigar would taste. The conscensus was spot on!
This cigar had a lovely chocolatey taste that I'd say wasn't far off the Montecristo Grand Edmundo 2010 I'd recently tried and was a fifth of the price. There was over an hour of smoking to be had as well. It's hard to tell how long exactly because I tend not to smoke them all in one go.
I was so impressed that lacking the cash to buy the company, I've settled for ordering a box of 20.
