This cigar was inconstant throw-out , very flaky does not hold ash well, first 3rd woody coffee notes, second 3rd flavours remain the same getting some unpleasant bitterness, cigar started to unravel slightly at the foot at the thickest point , final 3rd cigar no longer had unraveling issues, coffee and wood notes, bitterness mellowed out ashy notes crept in towards the end . Start to finish this cigar required 4 touch ups, flavours were simple bitterness unpleasant but only during second 3rd when the cigar was unraveling. May have just been a one off unlucky cigar, I personally would not purchase it again Oliva Serie G perfecto is at the same price point and is far superior. Rating: 2 Forgettable

I've been smoking various Cubans and new world blends on and off for years, but I'm far from a seasoned cigar smoker. However, I do feel the need to vent a little about this CAO. From first light I felt like I was sucking through a tire inflator needle, once we got going it started canoeing immediately. I don't like to give up and over the years I've become quite adept at saving cigars with little touch ups here and there, this took several. I felt like I was managing an industrial accident. The wrapper started to break up towards the second third and by the end it started to resemble a Cadburys flake. The only redeeming factor was the flavour was quite nice with a coffee liqueur. I'll be avoiding CAO for a little while, but never say never. If I feel like a challenge again, I'll give one a second chance.

This cigar opens with a dry woodiness that quickly gives way to warm coffee and cocoa tones. The nutty finish adds depth without heaviness, and the smoke stays creamy throughout. Burn was even, and the band came off cleanly always a plus. Paired it with a coffee stout and it sang. Not a powerhouse, but a refined, satisfying smoke that’s perfect for a quiet hour.

I was unlucky with my first try of this cigar, but Cgars acted swiftly to send a replacement and I'm glad they did! This one was a belter of a cigar, great construction and the flavours where sublime, initial woodiness into lovely coffee notes. Paired well with a coffee stout but would make a great breakfast cigar for sure, quite light in strength. Will definitely be buying more of these. Nice looking band that was thankfully easy to remove given the size.

A great looking cigar but alas, it was impossible to draw any smoke! My efforts to deal with the plug finally opened up some pleasant flavours but the cigar was rapidly falling apart by this point. Maybe just unlucky this time!
