I was pleasantly surprised when I received this as a mystery cigar and have been looking forward to trying this. The cigar is very smooth to the touch and has some nice flavour on the cold draw. Once lit its very smooth, held ash very well. I enjoyed it from start to finish and would certainly buy one for a special occasion and be on the hunt for one in duty free

Did a basic pairing with some salted caramel kraken on holiday. Divine. I really love the ring band being made of tobacco. Quite a tight draw but still 100% enjoyable. It smells like marzipan until you light it, then it smells and taste like cocoa powder, not quite chocolate. Impressive construction but i had to relight it near the end (i was outside in the wind). Extremely interesting back story of these cigars aswell. Would definitely smoke another one, perhaps a different vitola.

Got this cigar as a mystery premium cigar and I must say I was delighted! Notes of dark chocolate, coffee and spice and it smoked for 90 minutes! Enjoyed with a bottle of Argentinian Malbec which suited it perfect! Will defo be buying again!

This is first time smoking CAO Amazon Basin Toro Cigar and I must say it was a very good experience. Perfect construction maybe a bit too tight but I don't like when the draw is to open. After reading other reviews my takeaway from it is that I wish I could have tried the previous editions. But for me very good cigar, maybe a bit too expensive

I had massive hopes for this cigar and actually waited for 12 months on new stock arriving. Unfortunately it was a huge disappointment. I actually reviewed the cigar on my youtube channel. I paired it with a very rare Foursquare rum to mark the occasion. The rum was amazing but the 2026 Amazon Basin did not perform. The cigar had great aroma from the wrapper before light up. The draw was super tight and literally the only flavour tone I could taste was charred / burnt oak. That continued through the 1st third and never changed. I decided not to smoke past the 1st third as it was not improving and really not enjoyable. After posting my video, there were a few people in the comments section who confirmed that the 2026 Amazon Basin is terrible compared to the other years, which were actually fantastic.

Fantastic cigar. Friends raved about this and so it was one I HAD to try. A medium-full bodied stick that took me roughly 90 minutes to smoke. Enjoyed it thoroughly and am hoping to see it back in stock.
