The plate itself is great, the adhesive on the magnet supplied with it isnt. If you want the entire assembly to fall off the lid of your humi and onto your sticks then go for it. If not I suggest finding a better way of mounting it.

Great idea and would work brilliantly but the magnets are to weak. The magnets wont hold a 320g pack in position in either of my Adorini humidors, they just slide strait off the steel plate at the back so Im currently looking for magnetic strips that will hold them up. The only weakness in Bovedas range I have found.

The plate holds the 320g pack securely but there is an issue with the magnet supplied. The magnet is a semi-flexible polymer type with adhesive on one side, this provides two mounting methods – if the humidor has a metal plate concealed in the lid then the magnet should be attached to the back of the Boveda plate with the adhesive side or if there is no metal plate the magnet is stuck to the humidor lid with the adhesive side. The problem is neither the magnet or the adhesive are very strong. My humidor has a metal plate in the lid so I attached the magnet to the Boveda plate (after leavening it 24 hours for the adhesive to cure) I found that the plate with the 320g pack slid down the lid when the humidor was opened – I had to stop this by mounting a humidity meter between the bottom edge of the plate and the lip of the lid. The second more serious problem was that either the magnet would peel of the plate or the whole assembly would just drop of the lid while it was closed. Just could not get the thing to stay in-place for any length of time. The solution to all these issues was to get some Magnet Expert F2582-N35-10 25x10x2mm Neodymium magnets available in a pack of 10 from Amazon ( www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00TACLMC4/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 ) Discarding the Boveda supplied magnet and putting 6 of these on the plate resulted in the 320g pack and mounting being securely attached to the lid – with no slipping when the lid is open. Given the cost of the plate Boveda should look at supplying Neodymium magnets with the plate as they are not expensive at only £6.48 for 10. Sticking the Boveda magnet to the wood on the humidor lid may have worked – but it would result in marking the wood with the adhesive. Also have my doubts about how well the polymer magnet would hold the mounting plate.
