Reviewed by Roger Safian (May 2003) Let me tell you about my current favorite cigar. It's the Bolivar Belicosos Finos - Cabinet. This is a beautiful cigar, that is about 5.5 inches with a 52 ring gauge. The wrapper has a wonderful oily sheen, that highlight the slight toothy-ness of the cigar. To me, this represents the classic cigar. A torpedo shaped delight that emits clouds of wonderful smelling smoke. It reminds me very much of the classic cigar smoking hero in the movies. The cigar's construction is perfect, with a cap that clips nicely. The pre-draw is excellent. Firm yet you don't have to force the air through the cigar. I light the cigar, and lean back and relax. The flavors are wonderful. As the cigar burns the oils glisten on the wrapper before they are consumed in the next puff. A friend recently described smoking this cigar as an almost religious experience, and I would have to agree. You won't want this to finish, and you will find yourself smoking it until your fingers can't hold the nub anymore. When it does end, you will have the satisfaction of knowing that you have enjoyed one of the true pleasures of this life. I give this cigar two thumbs up. Try one, you won't be disappointed.

A Fantastic smoke, well constructed, burns quickly but the flavors are immense, I have always enjoyed the Bolivar range, especially with a dram of Talisker 10yr old. I'll definitely be buying more of these... A quality Cuban Classic.

Currently selling stocks from 2007 vintage which many will know is my favorite vintage in the last 20 years. Released from our reserve stock in the way cigar merchants did in many years ago, we waited patiently till we felt the cigars had reached perfection and full potential These cigars have matured to perfection. They are well balanced , sweet Bolivar flavored with spice notes throughout. Generally with colorado maduro smooth and vein free wrappers. A smooth smoke that is perfectly constructed. Truly a blend of merit and an example of a Havana cigar at its best. Mitchell

Beautiful cigar for smoking in the afternoon. Fantastic aromas, a perfect even burn. I found it spicy & aromatic with a full flavour, yet on the milder side. Delicious & tasty.

It would have to be a coin toss for me to choose between this cigar and the partagas no2 as my favorite piramides. Strong, creamy, sweet and pungent. Just the way I like it.

I decided on one of these based on the reviews below, as a late substitute for a Unicos in my Vegas Robaina sampler pack (Cgars didn't have any Unicos left!) & I'm glad I choose this fine fat fellow. Nothing more to add that hasn't been already said, except halfway through smoking it, it did start to leave a thin line of wrapper behind the burn. It didn't seem to affect the flavour at all as it still smoked beautifully, full of strong, woody, leathery flavours. This is everything a cigar should be... especially at the price! 10/10
