Double Matured from the Benromach Contrasts range has aged slightly differently to our signature Benromach style.
Distilled in 2011 and bottled in 2023, this whisky has matured for 12 years in two very different cask types resulting in a deep amber colour and creating a unique expression within the Benromach Contrasts range.
The influence of the Bourbon and red Bordeaux wine casks results in a whisky with delicate honey and floral aromas, notes of forest fruits and toasted oak, finishing on Benromach signature soft touch of peat smoke.
Nose: Subtle hints of rose followed by honey and ripe red fruits.
Palate: Smooth and sweet with flavours of zesty tangerine and dark forest fruits are balanced by toasted oak.
Finish: Medium-bodied and fruity finish underpinned by subtle peat smoke.
