ALEC BRADLEY

Alec Bradley Cigar Company dates back to 1996 and was founded by Ralph and Alan, it was their passion for cigars that encouraged them to invest their life into something they love; founding Alec Bradley Cigar Company.

In 1998 they decided to create their first cigar together, Occidental Reserve. The response proved that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts and that pushed them to continue to develop cigars that we and others have been excited to smoke.

Alec Bradley have a goal: to give you, the cigar smoker, an unforgettable experience.

ORCHANT SELECCION

We are proud to introduce you to the Alec Bradley Orchant Seleccion cigars which are exclusive to C.Gars Ltd and Turmeaus tobacconists.

Following on from the pre-release cigars which were greatly received at the launch events across the Turmeaus locations in late 2017. The cigars have been ready since early May 2017 but have been resting in Honduras until they are of absolute optimum smoking condition.

Tasting Notes

The blend is a magnificent smoke, the double binder really adds a unique touch to the overall experience. Offering a slow burning smoke, giving you plenty of time to savor and truly enjoy the great harmony of flavours.

You will be introduced to a crisp, woody taste as you light this cigar which is complimented with notes of crème brûlée and brown sugar. As the smoke progresses hints of black pepper will appear leading the smoke to finish on a subtle spiciness.

The Alec Bradley Orchant Selección was an interesting one for me. I’ve heard a lot about Alec Bradley cigars, and this particular collaboration blend felt like a good introduction. Right away, I noticed earthy notes with cedar and a bit of sweetness, almost like molasses. The construction was very good—solid draw, steady burn, and plenty of smoke output. Midway through, I picked up more cocoa and spice, which gave it a richer character. It’s medium-bodied overall, making it approachable but not boring. The flavors were balanced, though I wouldn’t say they blew me away. What I liked most was the smoothness—it never became harsh, and I was able to enjoy it at a relaxed pace. Toward the final third, the spice kicked up a little more, along with some nutty flavors, which gave it a satisfying finish. For me, this cigar felt dependable and enjoyable, though maybe not as memorable as some of the other brands I’ve tried. Still, it’s a solid choice and one I’d recommend to someone looking to explore Alec Bradley without diving straight into their stronger blends. Rating: 7/10

OMG I cannot believe these bad reviews of what I found as a surprising delight!! Perfectly smooth, allowing slightly more inhale than usual, un even burn?? No chance!! I wonder how some people are lighting their cigars... Struggle to get any draw?? No way... Cut correctly and lit correctly this is one of the best shortest smokes I have had. I am buying some more....

Currently somking the Alec Bradley Orchant Seleccion (last 3rd), this was suggested by a nice chap from the St James's St branch of C.Gars. I found this to be a very aromatic (pleasant smell). In terms of taste notes (this subjective) I found it to have an ever so slight sweetness, I tasted pepper notes and spicey notes, will need buy again (all though a bit above my budget) to taste the coffee (espresso) note. Construction very well made I did have to touch it up and relight a few times but probably due to me rather than the cigar itself. I always find myself finding difficult to strike the delicate balance of not smoking too fast as the cigar does get hot and leaving it too late for the next puff (I am getting there). The smoke was very creamy. I love the spiceiness on the lips and tip of the toungue especially when retro haling. I found all the cigars I have bought from C.Gars to have a creamy smoke to them be it a small 32 ring gauge or the bigger 40+ ring gauge cigars. The friendly chap did mention to me that the Mayfiar branch have more of the cigars I was after which was quite interesting as for some reason I thought the flagship branch would accomodate the cigars I wanted. Never the less, the selection I bought I belive would cater to my needs or be it my pallat. And if you ask nicely, the staff will throw in a free lighter. Well done C.Gars.
