Tamdhu 12 Year Old -
Tamdhu Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky has introduced its new 12 Year Old to its exclusively sherry oak matured range.
The new 12 Year Old single malt reflects Tamdhu’s commitment to producing ‘only the best’ sherry cask matured whisky, and will replace the existing Tamdhu 10 Year Old.
Benefiting from an extra two years of maturation, and bottled at 43% ABV, Tamdhu 12 Year Old has been 100% matured for a full 12 years in first fill and refill American and European Oloroso sherry casks from the cooperages of Jerez, in Spain’s ‘sherry triangle’.
The result is a complex and rich single malt whisky that delivers a wealth of complexity, with flavours of cinnamon, dried fruit, banana and classic sherry oak depth.
Tamdhu 15 Year Old -
Tamdhu is known for maturing their whisky exclusively in the finest American and European sherry oak casks.
From your first sip of our new 15-year-old expression, you’ll fully appreciate that time maturing exclusively in the finest sherry oak casks.
You’ll taste the intense burst of vibrant summer fruits on the palate and enjoy the rewardingly long finish it delivers.
Bottled at 46% volume, natural colour and un-chillfiltered.
Tamdhu 18 Year Old -
Tamdhu only matures in the finest Oloroso Seasoned Sherry Casks sourced from Spain, so when a small selection of these fine casks came of age, the time was right for the distillery to bring them together to craft a very limited 18-Year-Old release.
Combining American Oak Oloroso and European Oak Oloroso casks, the 18-Year-Old unites Tamdhu’s signature fruity spirit and 18 long years of full-term sherry maturation to deliver layers of indulgent flavour and a deep natural colour which reflects the quality of the oak.
Bottled at 46.8% abv and non-chill filtered, on the nose the Tamdhu 18-Year-Old delivers rich dark fruits with ripe cherry and plum. Zesty citrus notes cut through an indulgent base of nutty milk chocolate and honey-baked oats.
A magnificent Speyside Single Malt for the sherry wood connoisseur.
Tasting Notes
Tamdhu 12 Year Old:
Nose: Rich and enticing; iced cinnamon rolls, orange boiled sweets, fresh sweet oak with raisins and a faint hint of mint.
Palate: Silky texture that coats the mouth with banana, berry jam, malt biscuit and classic sherry oak depth.
Finish: Pleasantly long and balanced with ground spice, dried fruit and soft Scottish tablet, finally unveiling the merest whisper of peat smoke.
Tamdhu 15 Year Old:
Nose: An aromatic array of apple pastry, spiced currants and orange zest, with exotic notes of pineapple and fennel.
Palate: A rewardingly long journey through warming malt biscuit, cream sherry and vanilla.
Finish: Long and warming, with raisins, cranberries, fresh tobacco, oak spices (cinnamon, cloves), leather, dark cherries, rich vanilla lingers.
Tamdhu 18 Year Old:
Nose: Rich dark fruits with ripe cherry and plum.
Palate: Crisp red apple emerges alongside dried fruits, with some sweet spice coming in the form of cinnamon, vanilla, and brown sugar.
Finish: A long, lingering, and rewarding finish brings spiced stewed apple and an unmistakable hint of sherry.
