A Tennessee whiskey from small batch distillery, Leiper's Fork of Williamson County.
It was distilled with the same mashbill as their Bourbon, which is all non-gmo grains, and is 70% corn, 15% malted barley, and 15% Rye.
The difference is that Tennessee whiskey is filtered through sugar maple charcoal.
The Bottled in Bond designation means that this whisky was produced in a single distillation season by a single distillery and aged for at least 4 years in a bonded warehouse.
It has also been bottled at 50% without chill filtration for robust flavour and mouthfeel.
Nose: Milk chocolate, roasted coffee, ripe plum, dark cherry and honey.
Palate: A complex palate of caramel, red berries, and baking spices. Complexity increases as it rests in the glass.
Finish: The finish features maple cinnamon cookies, fresh mint, and cherry. It has a complex, rich profile with sweet and spicy notes, reflecting its high-proof, un-chill filtered, and five-year aging process.
