One of my favourite cigars. Full flavour right from the get go and develops beautifully into a not too peppery but full bodied taste 2nd third and finishes with a nice strong pepper finish. Sometimes maduros can just be pepper all the way through and this cigar was perfect in that it only has a heavy finish to end on.

Its tasteful gold and royal navy band, dark attractive maduro wrapper and overall impressive presentation promise a great experience. In fact it starts rather blandly with earthy, shallow tones dominating the first third of the cigar. Suddenly however, with a sudden rush, spice and pepper awake and begin to, at first dominate, and then balance the flavours and this becomes a weighty, majestic stick. Its not harsh but certainly a heavy cigar that rewards patience and paired with a good, sipping Rye encourages melancholy and reflection as the clouds of dense smoke envelop you and tobacco settles into a grounded, even and flavoursome experience. Not terribly nuanced perhaps but certainly an example of a thoughtful process that results in a great, leisured sit down. This smoker might prefer mellower and sweeter but at this price point and considering the impressive built and burn its hard to put down and not demand a few more for your humidor moments after you are done and the cigar slowly dies down.

This is my favourite smoke and my go to stick. My brother usually smokes Connecticuts and not fond of the Maduro wrappers but he was blown away by this cigar. Perfect Construction, sweet earthy aromas and flavoursome draw everything ...just such a pleasure to smoke every time!!!

This was the first drew estate cigar that I have smoked. I was a little apprehensive at first thinking they are a gimmicky brand. The cigar arrived with my very small order (taking advantage of the free delivery in the flash sale) and was one of two smokes I had ordered for something different for the weekend. Upon opening the package I was very pleasantly surprised, what a fantastic looking smoke! A smooth dark wrapper, with one pronounced vein running the length. The smell was fantastic, almost sweet to my nose. It was a firm cigar but nothing to put any worries in my head that it wouldn't draw well. It cut cleanly and lit well producing plumes of smoke on the first draw. The first third of this cigar I found quite bland, it didn't really give me any flavours of particular note, maybe an earthy woody flavour. The 2nd third was prodimently pepper and seeing as I love a peppery cigar I was really starting to enjoy it, it held its ash well, a lovely clean looking ash it was too. The 3rd third the taste turned to leather with a lingering of pepper, still drawing well and producing huge amounts of smoke. My fishing partner commented on the scent of the cigar as he walked up the bank, coming from a non smoker he said it smelt amazing.. I did enjoy this cigar and it has changed my opinion on the brand. Would I purchase again, definitely. A pleasant stick to smoke on a Sunday evening chasing those pesky pike! I blanked by the way!

A modern classic. A full flavoured cigar full of dark oak, earth and pepper. Good strong ash and perfect draw.
