The Balvenie has introduced a new expression to its 'A Collection of Curious Casks' series.
A 12-year-old single malt matured entirely in European oak casks previously seasoned with sweet wine from Montilla, located in the Andalusia region of Spain.
Handpicked by malt master Kelsey McKechnie, this whisky infuses a touch of sun-soaked Spanish character into Balvenie’s signature notes of honey and vanilla, adding layers of gentle fruit and spice.
Bottled at 47.3% ABV, the release features label artwork by Andy Lovell, depicting McKechnie inside the renowned Warehouse 24.
A whisky crafted with both tradition and innovation in mind, this 12 Year Old Montilla Wine Cask bottling is a testament to Balvenie’s restless curiosity and its enduring dedication to flavour.
