I agree with the other comments. Good construction. Smooth draw. Leather and nutty tasting notes. Medium strength. RYJ Wide Churchill preferred though.

Revor Plug Pipe Tobacco 50g Pouch
Date Added: Sunday 29 September, 2024
Just good honest proper tobacco, like I seem to recall my Grandfather smoking. Keeps and ages well being a plug. Cuts and rubs out easily. An hour of drying time to ensure a reliable burn. ?then just relax and enjoy the scent and flavours. Delightfully woody and smoky. I wouldn?t call it an aromatic, but there is sufficient there to keep tweaking the interest and requiring another draw to see if you can place that flavour- scent. Hint: Christmas cake. During a ?John MacNab? gloriously rainy fortnight in the remotest West Coast of Scotland I was hoping for a baccy breakthrough having previously bought much recommended tobacco only to be somewhat disappointed, or at best underwhelmed. This did not disappoint. Hence, when I jet off for a week of sun in Mallorca this is the only pipe tobacco I need to take. The real deal.

Rocky Patel Disciple Robusto Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Thursday 05 September, 2024
Very good cigar. For me it has similar tasting notes to some of my favourite cigars, such as the EP CARILLO PLEDGE and Aging Room Quattro Nicaragua. Mainly a light milk chocolate tone with a slight rum style sweetness on the retrohale. The final 3rd had hints of coffee. Will definitely buy more.

Rocky Patel Vintage 1990 Broadleaf Cigar - Tin of 5
Date Added: Sunday 18 August, 2024
A really enjoyable cigar. Burns evenly with a nice amount of smoke. Well constructed, not tight but with a pleasant draw. Lasts about 45 mins but that perhaps just me. I left one with the wrapper undone for a few weeks and found this made it far smoother but still a strong flavour.

Romeo y Julieta Wide Churchill Cigar - 1 Single

What a disappointment, tried one of these about 3 weeks ago and loved it, purchased one for my self, hard to light, would not stay alight, visible large stem on outside of cigar, gave up only after smoking 1/3 of the cigar, total waste not enjoyable at all. Certainly would not buy again.

Smoke time: 70 minutes - **Draw and Construction:** Medium dense, well-packed, with good construction. - **Initial Impressions:** Mild, mellow, with hints of cedar and cream. Smoke is light, aromatic, requiring frequent, slow draws. - **First Third:** Lacks character initially, but the smoke aroma becomes sweeter and more pungent with a touch of roasted nuts. Medium dense grey ash. - **Second Third:** Flavors intensify, with more pronounced notes of roast cashew and cedar. The narrow ring gauge requires careful smoking to avoid overheating. The smoke becomes more aromatic and perfumed. - **Final Third:** Consistent with the second third, pleasant and mellow. - **Overall:** A well-constructed, mellow cigar that's enjoyable for an afternoon smoke. Score: 6.5/10 This cigars offers a smooth and evolving experience, particularly suited for those who appreciate subtle flavors and careful smoking.
