Romeo y Julieta No. 3 Tubed Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Saturday 30 April, 2011
The nicest Cuban cigar i've experienced, rich in flavour and spice yet so smooth, perfectly rolled and has the distinctive Cuban scent aroma. Only the Cuesta Rey - Tuscany can compete with this. A.Rodriguez

I wasn't really pleased with this cigar. I've been working my way through the merevas from the major brands and this was nothing special. It started badly, but the final 3rd was OK. I wouldn’t buy another, yet I wouldn’t refuse one either.

This was my first cigar of this size range. Unfortunately i didn't buy it here as i wanted the humidifying tube with it (which is pretty damn good)........... perhaps this will act as a recommendation for the site :) First off, it lasted WAY longer than the 45 minutes generally claimed on this cigar, near enough an hour and a half actually. It was an absolute b***h to light (use a blowtorch rather than matches for this one), and once it was lit, it burned very uneven for the first twenty minutes, which i was very careful to rotate to even out as it burned. I think there may have been something wrong with the one i bought, as the draw was fairly tight, and i would have to go nuts on it to get a decent mouthful of smoke. The huge amount of drawing it needed for some decent smoke caused it to run VERY hot. It would probably have lasted even longer if that weren't the case. Even trying as hard as i was to keep it burning properly, it went out. So i had to brush off the ash and relight it quickly while it was warm to avoid further struggle. From there on, it was lovely. A great Cigar. Nice draw, not to strong but still packs a punch. Subtle flavours develop throughout the smoke making it a thouroughly enjoyable experience. Not the most complex cigar, but it has enough to keep you interested. A Cigar to unwind with after the working day.

Ramon Allones Small Club Corona Cigar - 1 Single

First look at this cigar and I thought that it would be strong as the wrapper was quite darker than most cigars I smoke but when it came to actually smoking it I was pleasantly surprised. The taste is quite chocolatey with leather and coffee also noticeable – ‘Rich’ would be a word to accurately describe it. The only problem was my stick was very tightly made so it caused some draw problems but apart from that it was great.

I'm a big fan of RYJ, so when it came to celebrate I took one of these to a ball to have after my dinner. I have to say it was one of the best cigars i had. The the cigar length and gauge was excellent, a substantial cigar that felt well in your had as you took some nice relaxed puffs with your chosen drink. The smoke itself wasn't harsh, which is the reason i like RYJ but it was far from bland. A very creamy and vanilla like taste with a tingle on the tongue as you blow the smoke out. I retained my tube as it felt a waste to bin it but i have ordered more ,so its great to carry your cigar without damaging it. Would recommend this cigar to anyone without hesitation
