After purchasing this cigar some time ago, it aged in my humidor for 18 months. I decided to give it a smoke during the nice summer months. Tastes in stages: In the first third the taste is mainly of dark cocoa and black pepper. It is incredibly flavoursome, but also very smooth: no bitterness at all. In the second third the dark cocoa is enhanced with a blast of dark coffee along with a good hint of black pepper. The final third consisted of coffee and leathery notes, the cocoa was much milder but the coffee notes were now joined by a leathery taste along with tge ever present black pepper. The cigar was incredibly smooth from first to last puff, despite the small size the cigar lasted for 1 hour 20 minutes. The burn was even throughout, no touchups required. Certainly one for those that enjoy bolder flavours, overall a fantastic smoke that I highly recommend.

I’m happy to admit that I’m not normally one to smoke anything apart from Cubans. That’s mainly because every non Cuban Has without question been pretty terrible. Even with my pallet developing and some ageing they all burn harsh and taste pretty terrible. This one however bucks that trend. The gauge probably helps but it’s a smooth sweet, creamy chocolate and vanilla from start to finish. Great cigar.

Beautiful cigar, i knew it was going to be from the moment I unwrapped it and had a sniff of the foot, got nice mellow tones of dark chocolate and coffee with a hint of vanilla on the dry draw. Then I fired it up, and wow, beautiful plumes of thick white smoke that feel and taste great, dark chocolate and coffee last all the way down and keep subtly developing and getting sweeter. the vanilla is there on the retro hale and turns slightly cinnamon as you work down it. Firm white ash that held nearly to the ring then i got nervous and ashed it myself but got right to the end with only one ashing. If I could afford it I would make this my regular smoke, I will be ordering a couple for my humidor and saving for special occasions. another reviewer said it would be a great dessert stick, i agree after a nice meal with a glass of port this cigar would make you feel like king, or queen, of the world.
