Single Cask #2083, aged 12 years in a Bourbon barrel at 61.3% ABV, offers a distinctive whisky with a polished gold hue.

Every cask silently slumbering in Glenallachie's on-site warehouses is meticulously monitored through its maturation journey, ensuring the whisky is bottled at its optimum.

This process allows the distillers to find some hidden gems: casks that are developing rather special and distinctive characteristics.

These unique whiskies merit being showcased individually so as to capture the interesting nuances and unique personality delivered by the cask’s DNA: its history, oak genus and provenance.

 

 

Tasting Notes

Nose: Features vanilla, butterscotch, orchard fruits, glazed cherries, buttered popcorn, and heather honey.

Palate: On the palate, crushed vanilla, butterscotch, and cayenne pepper.

Finish: The pepper leads to grilled honeycomb, cinnamon buttercream, and caramel, highlighting the unique characteristics of the cask.
