Description

As Pommards go, Les Pézerolles is rather Volnaysien in style, thanks to its limestone soils, which give a more elegant and delicate expression.
 
This is a special cuvée with a secret but very prestigious provenance. The name refers to the origin of the name of Pommard, which comes from Pomona, a Roman nymph who was a goddess of fruitful abundance.
 
The quality of the fruit is excellent, and Etienne hopes to be able to be able to make this wine for many years to come.

Tasting Notes

The fruit here is most definitely red and this is pretty, perfumed and charming, but with a serious, chalky limestone structure.
