Good God I underestimated how strong this was going to be. I'm still a beginner but thought I'd built up at least a bit of tolerance to nicotine - boy was I mistaken. Got a very bad case of nicotine sickness shortly after finishing it and still feeling slightly unwell the next day.
That being said, the draw was perfect and the burn was very even with an ash that fell off consistently after about 3cm. Doesn't burn particularly hot but doesn't go out easily on its own either. Middle of the cigar became quite squishy halfway through.
Here's what it was like flavour-wise:
1st third
Quite mild which slowly turns into strong sweetness/sugariness
2nd third
Sugariness still dominates but overall flavour gets bolder and earthier with hints of strong coffee. Some spice here and there.
Final third
Sugariness continues but almost becomes a sort of sugary spice. Very bold. Finishes with strong mintiness right to the end.
Overall, for me, it wasn't as mind-blowing flavour-wise as is made out. It was certainly very nice and definitely had some complexity but it didn't stand out much from other maduros I've had. It's very similar in flavour to an Arturo Fuente Cubanito Maduro in that it's almost overwhelmingly sugary throughout.
