This stunning Ardbeg, first released in 2004, now concludes the 'Young Ardbeg Series' where we have followed the 'path to maturity.

This Ardbeg Renaissance, is the final release in the series of bottles distilled in 1998. Following the Ardbeg distillery takeover by Glenmorangie.

Available in limited quantities at 10 years old, it reflects the full spectrum of depth and complexity that makes Ardbeg... well, Ardbeg!

Please note as this is a vintage bottle, conditions of bottle/label and liquid level can vary - Some years can vary as estimations only (example: estimated 1970s/80s).

Nose: Smoky and earthy with a citrus hint. Adding water brings forth more lemons and changes the full-blown smoke more mellow.

Palate: Medium-bodied and spicy. Smoke comes in waves , followed by vanilla and a further citrus hint. With water the spiciness is reduced and there are more vanilla and lemon flavours.

Finish: The finish is long and warming, smoky and quite dry.
