DREW ESTATE

The Drew Estate story is one of daring, heartbreak & success but, most of all, one of passion for cigars and the country of Nicaragua, where we have been making cigars since 1996.

Jonathan Drew & Marvin Samel are not your average cigar makers, their story does not start in Cuba, or with fathers in the cigar business. It started with a dream, and through their can-do spirit and never-say-die attitude made Drew Estate one of the premier cigar manufacturers on the planet. The two frat brothers from New York started out small…. Small, as in a 16 square foot retail kiosk in the World Trade Center in NYC.

In late 1998, Jonathan Drew moved to Esteli, Nicaragua with the hopes of starting a rebirth in the cigar world. With a handful of rollers and an even smaller handful of money, the story of “That Crazy Gringo” began.

LARUTAN

Larutan by Drew Estate is crafted using the finest Nicaraguan leaf combined with traditional black tobaccos from Syria, Turkey, St. James Parish and other exotic locations. Each cigar in the range has its own distinctive blend, making for a unique and satisfying smoke.

These cigars are so good that we promise once you light them up and everyone smells the pleasant aromas, they’ll all be asking where you got them from!!!

Cigars need a BOOST?

Tasting Notes

A full-flavoured cigar with an explosion of flavours from white pepper, mesquite and cocoa.

I was pleasantly surprised by this smoke. The overly sweet tip wears off to a pleasant sweet undertone that, I think, complements the flavours. Other than that there is lots of smoke and a very pleasant grassy and fragrant tobacco flavour. I will be buying more.

Nice size. Quite a tight draw and has the sweetened end which I quite like. Sweetness went off after 1st 3rd and enjoyed the rest too

Smashing mild smoke if you cut it V The sweetness from its make up, makes you feel you are sipping a nice Port or sweet Sherry at the same time. A splendid aroma and yes I think they can be rather addictive, but may I say in a superb way and I have found in mixed company even with non-smokers found them very pleasant. Steve Silvester

One of my favourite sticks to enjoy with a coffee or a spiced rum . Lots of smoke . Sweet flavours not to be rushed

I like to try out new cigars just in case I'm missing out on something special.however this isn't in that category. The super sickly sweet wrapper really let's this one down. The sugar hit on the lips was just too much. The tobacco however was pretty good but sadly overpowered by the wrapper.I won't re-visit this cigar
