ROMEO Y JULIETA

Named after William Shakespeare’s tragic lovers, the origins of Romeo y Julieta as a Havana date back to 1875.

The brand rose to international fame during the early years of the 20th Century under the direction of Don ‘Pepin’ Rodriguez, a talented promoter who was amongst the first to recognise the power of the cigar band. During his heyday no less than 20,000 different bands were used in the production of cigars.

Winston Churchill became a devotee of the brand and following his visit to Havana in 1946, his name has not only been commemorated on a band, but it has also served to describe the marque’s most famous size – Romeo y Julieta Churchills.

Romeo y Julieta’s balanced and aromatic blend of selected filler and binder leaves from the Vuelta Abajo zone make it the classic medium bodied Havana.

Today Romeo y Julieta is as well known around the world as ever and offers one of the widest range of tripa larga, totalmente a mano – long filler, totally handmade – sizes of any Havana brand.

CEDROS DE LUXE NO. 3

In line with Romeo’s Cedros code, the Cedros No.3 is a Petit Corona. It is as good a cigar of this size as you will find; an easy and refined smoke.

Tasting Notes

Consistent high quality of draw and strength. Sweet, creamy with hints of chocolate.

85 / 100

"Wrinkly with a good cap, this petit corona burns unevenly. After some wet wood and mushroom notes, the cigar warms to show medium-bodied coffee and leather flavors..."

Fantastic honey and wood flavour from the off. Had this with a great glass of valpolicella and an 18 year old Longmorn. The smoke stayed tasty and without bitterness down until the last third. I wouldn't hesitate to order another five!

Loved this cigar! Tried a few new ones including the cohiba maduro no5. H upmann half corona and the ryj cedros deluxe no3 and it was by far the best. From the first draw all the way through was creamy chocolate. Burnt my fingers smoking it all the way down. Once I have the spare cash I will be getting a box but in the meantime another couple are on the way!!

Great cigar (all be it that im relativity new to the world of cigars), I found this to be one of the most enjoyable I've had. Lit and burnt well, taste and lingering taste was great. I must say though I found the wrapper taste on my lips to be the best; absolutely incredible, I couldn't get over it! Definitely will be buying again.

I smoke a variety of mainly cuban and dominican cigars but always fall back to R & J Cedros 3 as a dependable favourite . Well constructed . Good comfortable smoke easy draw . Good burn . Consistently nice medium flavour . Bettered only by their short churchill .

A highly enjoyable cigar. The cedar wrap really penetrates, working it's magic and adding a welcome layer to it's creamy, sweet palate from the off. Gentle and cool throughout, with excellent construction making smoking trouble free and pleasureable. So moreish, I reckon it's a no.2 or 1 for me next time!
