The Teeling Whiskey Company introduced this special release of some of the oldest Irish Single Malt in the world

The 30-year-old Teeling single malt was distilled in 1991 and initially matured in ex-bourbon casks before undergoing a secondary maturation for over 9 years in Sauternes wine casks.
 
The result is a distinctive, well-balanced Irish whiskey, with a fruity character balanced by savoury notes.
 
Limited to 4,000 bottles, at 46% ABV with no chill filtration completing a whiskey of true character.
 
A world-class dram presented in a beautiful decanter.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Impeccably soft on the palate, with a nose of sweet stone fruits and vibrant oak laying the groundwork, this 30-year-old Teeling is Irish Single Malt of the very highest calibre.

Palate: The secondary maturation in ex-Sauternes casks has made what was undoubtedly a very fine whisky into something utterly delicious.

Finish: A finish where touches of cacao intermingle with the earlier fruits and hints of woodsmoke makes this a sublime pairing for chocolate-based desserts.
