Vasco Da Gama Capa de Oro Corona Tubed Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Saturday 06 February, 2016
Was looking for something new and interesting to try and came across this brilliant stick. On the initial light there was an instant taste of sweet, sweet chocolate and an intoxicating aroma of rich tobacco from the smoke (which was thick and plentiful, just the way I like it). Flavors came and went for the next 35 minutes, including spicy ceder notes and even a bit of marzipan. On top of that, she crackles like a bonfire, and glows just as bright to boot! These sticks come pre-cut and ready to smoke, very useful when you find yourself without a cutter, but in need of a cigar.

This is a great cigar if youre looking for somthing a bit diferent. Its unlike any cigar ive ever smoked, the smell of it before smoking is strong with a rich spicey flavour that only gets stronger and spiceyer when smoking. Its flavour is a spic ive never tasted in a cigar before. My only issue with this cigar is mine was cracked at the top giving me a problem lighting it, it was also a bit dry for me making it smoke faster than other cigars in its ring guage lasting around 40 mins or so.

Vasco Da Gama Caribbean (Rum) Corona Tubed Cigar - 1 Single

This was my first 40” coronas and I must say, it was a very nice smoke. It was kept in a humidor for a week after delivery and worth the wait. The flavour was intriguing a mild rum flavour as expected and tingly on the tongue with a slightly numbness around the lips no harsh after taste just smooth and mild throughout. It burned evenly all the way down, and only went down when drew upon. I couldnt put it down and smoked it all in one go.

A mild and very smooth smoke. Fast burning with open draw. Well constructed. Slightly uneven burn line, but nothing I needed to correct. Very light ash, with plentiful smoke ( big volumes, almost up with vaping!). I just didn’t really get the rum undertones that I was expecting. However, not an unpleasant experience in any way, just not a very memorable one either, at least for me. Very easy going and I am sure many will really enjoy this.

I wasnt expecting much from a six inch stick that cost this little, and to begin with it lived down to my expectations. If felt cheap, looked cheap and for the first inch smoked cheap, but then it started burning straight and was actually a very pleasant cigar. The last third was especially enjoyable. The flavours were mild and sweet, although I was drinking a sweet port with it and although they complimented each other well I want to see how it tastes with a dry port next time. Definitely will buy again. Wish I bought two as I could easily smoke another right now. Four out of five because the first inch really was pretty crap.

This was my first flavoured/infused cigar & I must say I was not disappointed. Negative stuff first - the roll was a little loose as was the band which you could slide up & down the stick! Sadly their was some damage just after the pre-cut head which was a little disappointing that it passed quality control? I ended up having to clip the head which meant I had to smoke the stick without a shoulder - I have marked down 1 star for this. Positive stuff - lovely flavour, very mild easy smoke perfect for beginners. No harshness, no bitter ashy taste, a nice smoke any time of day. Would pair well with a coffee or something a little stronger. Could I taste any rum... well the Jury is out on that but if the sweetness was from the rum, then yes, perhaps I could. For its price itÂ’s well worth a try!
