El Rey del Mundo Demi Tasse Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Sunday 10 March, 2019
Bought this as part of a sampler. Visually, comparing to the rest of the sampler and the contents of my humidor, this looks like a cafe creme. This really is quite nice. Good flavour. Does the job well for a short smoke. Only takes about 15 minutes to smoke at a leisurely pace. At this price, a good little stick to pull out all day every day. Great value for money.

Reviewed by James Stone (September 2000) Me, a Taste Tester!!!! When I read I had been chosen, the first thing I thought of. Holy tobacco leaves batman! Does C.GARS Ltd know my new address! Just in case I better fire off an email. After a few days had past, a familiar package was on the dining room table when I returned from work. Inside.... 3 beautiful looking ERDM Choix Supremes. I decided to let them rest a couple days from their journey, but celebrated their arrival with a Partagas Presidente. After a really lousy day of work, I decided it was time, so, I pulled out one of the ERDM's and a Becks beer, sat on the porch, and watch the rain. Cigar #1 Nice chocolate brown wrapper, firm, and silky smooth to the touch, with an oily sheen. A nice clean cut with the Xikar and the cap pops off. Prelight draw, hints of mocha, and spice. Although the wrapper was split about a 3/4" it didn't affect the light. Very nice draw, lots of smoke, medium strength. This cigar smoked like most of the other cigars from an ISOM. Even burn, firm dark grey ash, and finished off strong and flavo

Reviewed by Joe Gellman (27th November 2000) The first time I did a tasting note on this cigar I was rife with enthusiasm and a poetic line came to mind. I promised myself that if I were to revisit this cigar I would be less profuse in my praise. Sorry. Again, if you want any changes let me know. As I opened my box of ERD Choix Supreme, boxed in February, 2000, I was transported back to Havana, at La Bodeguita del Medio. It is January, 1999 and I am sitting beneath a bit of graffiti written by Salvador Allende, "Cuba is free, Chile waits." Overpriced food and moderately decent mojitos are served. Back home my wife is fuming over my trip. I am mindful of what Kipling wrote in The Betrothed: "For Maggie has written a letter to give me my choice between The wee little whimpering Love and the great god Nick O'Teen." My choice was clear, light up a 'choice' cigar and, thus, I lit a Choix Supreme. Although most consider this a Robusto, it is actually a Hermoso No. 4. Its ring gauge is 48 whereas a Robusto is 50. To the well trained eye (i.e., my ruler) you can tell the Hermoso

I've sampled this after dinner with a pint of cider. I absolutely love it. It's like eating dark chocolate with a pinch of salt. Perfect balance between sweet and bitter. Good draw and even burn. Well priced for what you get. This will always be in my humidor from now on. I heard that they taste even better if aged for 3+ years. Really curios to try one.

Purchased as part of the Cuban Sampler pack at £99. Normally Im a Cohiba smoker but thought it would be good to try something different and maybe get a saving at the same time. Well im through to the 5th Cigar already and its this one above. I use a accurate straight cut and found the cap came off cleanly, and the draw before lighting was excellent! A little acidic to start but it mellowed as the smoke went on, the burn was nice and even too. Its a fairly dark leaf and that came out in the flavour too, quite spicy but not too heavy. I smoked about two thirds in 30 minutes so quite good for me. I rarely take any cigar further. If I gave the Cohina Siglo II 9/10 this would come in at 8 so very pleased theres a lesser expensive alternative.
