Bolivar Royal Corona Cigar - Box of 25

(Part 2) Still lots of lovely, smooth smoke on each draw.Medium/full body throughout the first 2/3. Into the final 1/3 and now a full bodied cigar which was much more complex with some fantastic flavours evident, the only one of which I could confidently pin down was a dark, roasted coffee bean flavour as the final 1/3 developed.Just a fantastic smoke that I really did not want to lay down.Full of flavour, always smooth and never hostile in any way, shape or form and a lovely strong finish on the palate. This was the finest cigar I've smoked this year so far and it encapsulated everything I love about Habanos.

Full of flavour, this smooth robusto sized cigar has a peppery kick. Very smooth smoke. As a bonus it doesnt appear to need much aging, so can be enjoyed straight away.

Well, I must agree with the editors of Cigar Aficionado magazine (Feb. 2007 issue). This was named THE Cigar of the year for 2006. My box arrived in impeccable condition a scant 24 hours after ordering it from MO. POS factory, date code Sept. '06. Pre-smoke inspection revealed a solid, box-pressed shape with perfect uniform construction, size and shape on every single stick. A Slight oiliness on the wrapper. The smoke lit and burned evenly throughout with a light grey ash. The draw was absolutely perfect throughout (I prefer a bullet punch on Robustos). The flavor was strong and powerful, but young, with a strong finish on the palate. A very potent punch midway through as the spiciness really came through. Not a smoke for the faint-hearted, nor would I recommend it on an empty stomach or as a morning smoke. Flavor was complex and spicy with more complex notes towards the middle. I would say overall an EXCELLENT vitola with complex flavor. Again I agree with the editors at CA that these do need to sit and mellow for a few years. I can tell though, that in 3-5 years, these wil

The cigar has a slightly box pressed shape,is perfect in its construction and has a lovely dark and oily wrapper. It surprised me a little in that it seemed to resist clipping just for a second which made me wonder if was slightly over humidified but that didn't prove to be the case. The pre-light draw was good and had the sweet and floral Bolivar flavour and the cigar has a lovely feel to it in my hands.I had to just slightly correct the burn within the first two or three puffs but after that it remained perfect and burned throughout with a light grey ash. From the get go there was copious amounts of beautifully aromatic smoke that filled the room. The first 1/3 displayed lovely floral,Bolivar spiciness with lots of smooth smoke on each draw with the spice leading to a lingering pepper finish towards the end of the first 1/3.The second 1/3 still spicy but less so with the pepper giving way to some wonderful earthy, floral tones and a definite but subtle creaminess.Still lots of lovely, smooth smoke on each draw.Medium/full body throughout the first 2/3. Into the final 1/3 and now a

Reviewed by Phil Beecroft in January 2001 Cigar One This cigar was marvelous to behold. It was exactly 4 7/8 x 50. Its wrapper was a rich colorado-colorado maduro or the color of raw sienna. There was only one large vein present and very few smaller ones - they in no way interfered with the burn. The cigar was almost square, a very box-pressed cigar, not that I mind. The cap was a perfect triple cap that was flat across the top. The foot was evenly cut. This cigar was firm to the touch with no soft spots evident. The unlit aroma was that of earth, leather and had hints of coffee. Upon clipping - a full shoulder cut just across the first layer of the cap - the pre-light draw was absolutely perfect. No need to fight this one, I could tell that generous amounts of smoke would follow. The taste on the unlit cigar was quite enjoyable with flavours of leather and spice. The cigar lit easily and produced a fine and intoxicating aroma - wood and spice were ever present. The ash on this cigar was comprised of two colours. The first - the wrapper - produced a very light grey ash that ten
