The 6 mm filters by Tortuga Verde absorb moisture in the pipe. Balsa wood is lighter than any other type of wood, because it is loosely structured with a lot of space between the fibers, which also causes it to be naturally absorbent. Therefore the condensate in the pipe is absorbed by the filter, while the aroma of the tobacco is preserved.
