The Lakes Whiskymakers Edition Iris - 56% 70cl

Part of the The Lakes Whiskymaker's Edition's which sees a departure from the English distillery's usual sherry-dominated style. This is 'Iris'.

Launched in spring 2023, The Lakes Distillery's Iris is one of the distillery's Whiskymaker's Editions series of limited releases, wherein the Master Blender is given free reign to explore their creativity and showcase a range of diversions. 

The latest release, Iris, was inspired by a town in the Western Himalayas, Gulmarg (meaning meadow of flowers). 

On the shore of Bassenthwaite Lake, near Keswick in The Lake District UNESCO World Heritage Site, The Lakes Distillery is an award-winning whisky distillery attracting over 100,000 visitors each year.  

In September 2019, The Lakes released The Whiskymaker's Reserve No.1, the distillery's first widely available single malt whisky.

Intensely fruity and floral, a veritable flavour spectrum, bursting with freshly-harvested, crisp, red apple and juicy pear, punctuated with a fragrant honeysuckle undertone.
