Moretti Brown Sandblast Fishtail Mouthpiece Pipe (ART516)

The tradition of hand-made pipes in Recanati, Italy dates back to 1850. So, by the early 1900’s, Hully Briars, employing 40 workers, was already well established. Having passed a test with a Railway Company, Igino Moretti then had to choose between driving trains and making pipes. Thankfully, the latter was his choice and consequently, Igino Moretti founded the brand "Moretti Recanati" in April 1968. During his first years, Igino continued to produce pipes for others and started his own line carrying the name Moretti. Today, Marco Biagini, Igino Moretti's son-in-law, continues the hand-made tradition based on the teachings of the founder. For the pipe smoking world traveller, Moretti pipes are still made in the small town of Recanati, in the Marche region of Italy.

One of the rarer Shapes to be seen in modern times , this is an amazing Horn shaped Pipe, once so easy to obtain, but now very unusual and usually only available from “Older School” Artisans.  This example is aesthetically perfect, finished in Moretti’s beautiful Brown Sandblast. The Shank is matched to an equally appealing Red Swirl Acrylic Mouthpiece.  An opportunity to obtain a true classic.
