So glad it is back in stock, not having it for what seemed like years was not good for my soul. this is the best pipe tobacco i have ever used, a fantastic room note that even my non-smoking wife comments on and unlike so many others it tastes as good as it smells . I will need to keep stocked up uncase it goes out of stock again.............i do hope it never will I give it 5 stars because thats the max number on the site, but its worth so many more.

I’m sorry but this is disgusting. The topping tastes artificial and chemical. This is the second awful tobacco I’ve got from McBarren the other being Navy Flake. If you must try it get a small sample first or like me you’ll be stuck with something better packed into the trash. I’m reviewing the tobacco, NOT C-Gars who have been great as usual.

Mac Baren Cube - Complex, but friendly and deliciously subtle. Packet note is comforting and tobacco looks/feels like quality from the off. One of few tobaccos I've tried that is highly responsive to draw intensity. The fact that it only bites back when brought to a high temperature allows the smoker to explore the different woody, fruity and caramel flavours at will, providing extra dimensions to the experience. I can see this becoming my regular smoke.

Ive been a St. Bruno smoker for 35 years now, Ive tried various other tobaccos over this period, but always returned to good old St B. Recently, CGars ltd ran a promotion of a leather Tobacco pouch containing 25g of a Mystery tobacco, so I thought Id give it a try. Turns out, the mystery tobacco was this one (Cube) from Macbaren. From my first experience of this tobacco, it felt like my days of sticking with St Bruno, were over! Cube is an altogether more luxurious smoke than either St Bruno or anything else Ive experienced over the years. It has a massively complex flavour of Coffee/Cocoa/fruit, and a cool, silk-like experience in the mouth. The harshness I experience with St Bruno just prior to finishing a bowlful, is non-existent. According to my wife, the aroma is delightful too. The only slight negative is, its not as slow burning as St Bruno, however, this may be down to the fact the sample I received, did appear slightly dry. Ill continue to smoke St Bruno for the next few weeks, but in all honesty, Im treating this period as one of weaning myself off St Bruno and fully converting to Cube thenceforth. All-in, Cube has won me over. I cannot emphasise enough, just how fussy a pipe smoker I am, and the fact Ive stuck with St Bruno for so long, bears testimony to this fact, consequently, for me to be completely won over by an alternative to St Bruno, speaks volumes in itself!
